Kory aka Elder Hebdon

Yes, I have a lot of catching up to do before the new month is here. Kory is now in the MTC learning Spanish before going to the Ecuador Guaquill South mission. We were able to go to the temple with him when he received his endowments and be there for the big family gathering before he left for the Provo, UT MTC. Just some fun shots of the gathering. It is always such a treat to be with family!

Camera Tag

Trevor received an art kit for his birthday and wanted to take a picture of his football player to put in the frame. I let him take the picture:

Next thing I know, the kids are running around the house and Trevor is snapping shots right and left. When asked what they were doing, they said "We're playing camera tag!" I deleted several pics with nothing but carpet or furniture but kept the ones with kids in them. I love how their imagination/creativity works!

Trevor's Birthday

Trevor's old room Trevor's new room

I remember having a bulletin board growing up and loving it so got one for Trevor's birthday for his room. His teacher uses plastic bags to hang on her calendar bulletin board to put things in so he got the idea to do this with his crayons and pencils. Jason remembers playing with a pirate ship growing up so got the ship for Trevor. Fun little things that are passed on from generation to generation.

Aunt Alison had a birthday party at her house for the cousin's with January birthdays. She even made each of them their own little cakes with their names on them. It was really cute!
Trevor sure enjoys all his birthday gifts: Star Wars action figures, robot, art kit, model kit and more. Thanks everyone for helping him have a great birthday!

"Holy Ghost helping me"

The other day Trevor told me he was taking a spelling test and he felt something/someone tell him to change the letters. I asked him what he thought it was. His reply was "I think it was the Holy Ghost helping me." Just when I think I'm not getting through, they surprise me!

Tyson's Talk in Primary

Tyson started the new year off by giving a talk in church. We had talked about preparing it on Monday and Tuesday of the week, then fogot about it until Saturday night after he was in bed when a reminder phone call was recieved. So, I looked through the Friend to get some ideas to present to him the next morning. Thankfully, we have 1:00 pm church this year so we had a little bit of time. This is what we came up with:
While holding the picture of The First Vision: "God, our Heavenly Fahter, is the Father of our spirits. We pray to Him. He has a perfect body of flesh and bone."

While holding a picture of Jesus with children: "Jesus Christ is our Savior. We pray to Heavenly Father in His name. He lived, died and was resurrected. Now He has a perfect body of flesh and bone."

No picture: "The Holy Ghost has a spirit body. Heavenly Father sends the Holy Ghost to help us choose the right and to comfort us."

He did a really good job. He stood up there and said most of the words (with some prompting) nice and loud and clear, even with just a few run throughs.

Christmas 2009-Bolles Style

We had a lot of fun with Jason's family over the holidays. Christmas eve we had the annual nativity sing-a-long and talent show. Trevor played the piano. I played a flute number. Christmas day we exchanged gifts. Lots of good food all week long as Marianne was in town so we celebrated her birthday, Jason's birthday, Christmas, New Year's and more together. Didn't get any pics of the birthdays and New's Year, but did get some of Christmas day so will post those. Somehow we didn't get a picture of the Christmas Train but we did do it. What a fun tradition. We also read the Book of Mormon account and turned the light on that Gma Sally gave us several years ago. So this post isn't in any order, but needed to get done before Trevor's birthday party with the family tomorrow.
Forgot to mention that we found out Christmas Eve that Trevor is allergic to $1 Store bandaides. His eyes were swollen and anywhere he touched after touching the bandaide had a welt, too. Poor guy. He still played the part of a shepherd quite well. BriAnn was Mary and loved it when she was able to ride the "donkey". Tyson wore his wise man costume for the third time this Christmas season. What a wise man he makes!
