Raspberry Bushes

Yeah!!! We planted raspberry bushes yesterday. We have talked about and wanted to do that for 4 years now. Jason bought the bushes, then tilled the garden. The kids (all 3) and I planted them. We look forward to fresh raspberries next year. (Yes, not until next year, much to Jason's dismay.)

Trevor had mid-winter break in February and the sun was shining so we invited one of his school friends and family to go to the zoo with us. Both of the moms forgot the cameras so we took a picture of the kids afterwards playing on Tyson's bunk beds. It was a fun day.

How about tonight after dinner!?

Tyson and I were watching Sesame Street together the other day and we saw two babies sleeping in the same crib and Tyson said, "Mom, I think that's where the new baby should sleep. With BriAnn in her crib." I said, "When is the new baby going to come?" to which he replied "In your tummy." After clarifying that is how the baby would come, but not when and asking again, "When is the new baby coming?" he paused a moment and said, "How about tonight after dinner?!" Oh the innocence of little ones!!!

No, we are not pregnant. He is still wondering about the baby that was miscarried in November. Or, maybe he is trying to tell us to not give up??? All in due time. Just wanted to get this posted before I forgot. It is my goal to one day print my blog in a nice book for each of the kids to have as their scrapbooks. Maybe I'm dreaming, but I think there is a way to do that.

Trevor's cute saying of the day: "Mom, the substitue teacher wouldn't let us do anything fun! We only got to work on writing and worksheets, no games. She is going to be there for a couple of days so I think I should stay home until Miss Chock returns." In other words, I didn't like the substitute. Do I really have to go to school? I was impressed that he said it so nicely as I had heard other kids leaving the classroom telling their parents that the substitute was mean.

BriAnn can now sing parts of the family night song. She is soooo cute doing so that Jason has a hard time playing the piano and not watching her sing and dance around. She loves to do what her big brothers do. They have so much fun singing and dancing around the living room together. As Jason says, "at least they are building fun memories of togetherness, even if they aren't paying attention to the lesson." Some day!

Catching up!

Trevor's 6th Birthday
We had fun with family celebrating all the January birthdays. We also went to Chuck E. Cheese's just the five of us and had fun playing games and dancing on the blue screen. We bought him an "I Can Play Guitar" game but think Jason and Kristi Ann have more fun playing it than he does. In due time. He also took swimming lessons again. He absolutely loves the water!
Snow!!! We had a lot of snow (almost a foot) in Auburn around Christmas time, but we were out of town and did not get to build a snowman in our own back yard. So, when we got a second chance to do so, we didn't care that there wasn't enough to build a big one. Tyson and I built a little one and had lots of fun doing so. He came up with the ideas for the hat, eyes, nose, buttons. He is quite the little creative thinker! How do you like those pink gloves?! We couldn't find his so we borrowed BriAnn's as she was asleep and Trevor's were with him at school.

Curlers for BriAnn

I decided to try putting curlers in BriAnn's hair as I am too chicken to use a hot curling iron on a wiggly little girl. Here are some before and after photos. I took the curlers out too soon as her hair was still a little damp, but it was fun. She sat perfectly still in front of the TV while I put them in her hair. The boys thought it was great fun, too!

Christmas Resolution

We decided that 2009 Christmas cards would be a lot different than 2008. We want to update you all with photos through out the year and have one photo with our newsletter. It is February and we are just getting started. So, here goes!
